Team Reflection
Three weeks in. Can you feel it? The newness is starting to settle into something that looks more like rhythm — in the classrooms, in the therapy rooms, in the sessions and the family conversations that all looked a little different three weeks ago than they do today.
And this week, we get a short one to catch our breath.
Our theme this month is “Understanding Myself & My Friends,” and it’s a good one to sit with — not just for the kids, but for us.
On Friday, we’ll all be on the playground together for Ice Cream Social, and we look forward to celebrating our community together.
Updates & Announcements
Join us Friday, September 11 for our annual back-to-school Ice Cream Social on the playground, 3:30–5:00 PM. Come meet other SOI families, let the kiddos play, and enjoy some scooped ice cream together. We can’t wait to celebrate our community.
This Friday, September 11, we say farewell to Ms. Kate. Kate joined our team as an OT in 2021 and has been a wonderful therapist to the children we serve, as well as a valued member of our IDP clinical team. We wish her all the best in her next chapter.
Ms. Aye will be out of the office starting Friday, September 11, returning at the end of the month. While she’s away, please send any insurance questions to Megan.
A big thank you to everyone who partnered with us to get gift cards into our families’ hands through our Sunflower Hill partnership. The response has been wonderful — families were grateful for the help putting fresh food on the table, and many were simply touched to be thought of. Thank you, too, to everyone who took a minute to share feedback. This is just the start — more good things ahead for our families.
Thank you for your flexibility as we continue to bring in new team members.
