Impact Report

The work. The numbers.
The impact.

School of Imagination and Happy Talkers have served more children than ever — doubling behavioral therapy capacity, opening the Vogt Family Center, and expanding insurance access for families across the Tri-Valley and Bay Area.

A letter from our founder
"Now, more than two decades later, the School of Imagination serves over 100 children every week. Our behavioral and early intervention services doubled in the last year, yet our waitlist continues to grow. Every name on that list represents a child who needs us, and every day, we work to ensure they get the support they deserve."

Family voices

What progress looks like in real families.

Behind every number is a child's journey. Here are three families who trusted us with the most important years of their child's life.

👨‍👩‍👦
The Logwood Family
San Ramon, CA
"
The School of Imagination has been life-changing for our son, Landon. He started at age two, and all three of us quickly fell in love with SOI's caring, inclusive environment. With seamless communication between teachers and staff, Landon has thrived socially and academically.
— Lorenzo Logwood & Lauryn Randolph, parents to Landon, age 4 · San Ramon, CA
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
The Patel Family
SOI graduates & current families
"
After SOI's Step 3 program, my daughter was well-prepared to enter junior kindergarten and now my son has advanced to SOI's Step 2 program. Both are thriving in school. They helped potty-train my son and taught my daughter to socialize with others after the pandemic.
— Annie Patel, Mom of Jak, SOI preschooler, and Raya, SOI graduate
🌟
Logan
Started speech therapy at 18 months
Now age 5 · Ready for kindergarten
"
Logan began his journey with SOI at 18 months for speech therapy, and we quickly saw how much the program helped him grow. He went from a socially anxious toddler to a confident 5-year-old — his transformation is beyond words. The staff's genuine care, personalized attention, and nurturing environment have made all the difference. It's not about business for SOI; it's about fostering a safe, welcoming space for every child to thrive.
— Sarah Haar, Mom to Logan, age 5
From our clinical team
"I love working at SOI because it helps me be the best therapist I can be. We identify children who may need diagnostic assessments and guide families toward early intervention. Our multidisciplinary team — educators, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists — works together to support each child's development. Success isn't just about goals met on paper — it's about the blossoming friendships between the children."
Christy Lemire, M.Ed., BCBA · Behavioral Therapy Supervisor, Happy Talkers
