Stephen Vogt skipped the MLB Manager of the Year ceremony in New York to be with our kids, and he committed to 2027 before last year's weekend was over. Last year we raised over $132,000. This year, we're all in again, for over 25 years of impact.

Questions
Where is it?
Dublin / Pleasanton, CA. Our private venue is revealed to guests the week of the event.
I've never played poker. Can I still come?
Absolutely. Blue Dog Events hosts a beginner tutorial table, dealers guide every hand, or join us in the gallery.
How does the tournament work?
It's a Texas Hold'em style tournament played with tournament chips (no cash value). Blinds increase each level to keep play moving, and dealers manage the game and betting. Play continues until one winner remains, and prizes are awarded at the end.
What's the Celebrity Jersey Knockout?
Every table has a celebrity player in their jersey. Knock them out and you win their signed jersey. The tournament keeps going after the jersey is awarded.
Are there re-buys and add-ons?
Yes. A $50 re-buy is available through the end of Level 5, once you're out of chips. A one-time $100 add-on is offered at the end of Level 5 to anyone still in. No re-buys or add-ons after Level 5.
What's the most important rule?
Have fun. It's friendly, charity-style competition, and every seat at the table supports our kids. Read the full Guest Guide & Rules.
How do I get an invitation to Friday's dinner or Saturday's launch?

School of Imagination is a 501(c)(3), Tax ID 20-8683005.
Is there early-bird pricing?
Yes. Early-bird prices run through Sunday, December 20, 2026: Player $300, Gallery $200, Friday dinner guest $200. Starting December 21: Player $350, Gallery $250, dinner guest $250. Sponsorship packages and the SOI community dinner rate stay the same.
