SOI Weekly Team Update | October 5-9
WEEKLY TEAM UPDATE

Word Is Spreading

Eighteen new families in September, new college partners, and a family's words worth reading. Read it during your work day and confirm at the bottom.

Team Reflection

Something worth celebrating: in September, 18 new families came to Happy Talkers for therapy. They found us from many directions at once: our website, our Stanford partners, and a growing circle of local pediatricians who are sending families our way. That doesn't happen by accident. Families talk about the care they receive here, and this week one parent put it into words in a five-star review:

"Both of my daughters went to School of Imagination for preschool. They were lucky enough to both have Miss Corynn and Miss Ka'tia as teachers. My daughters absolutely loved the teachers here, and my eldest daughter was obsessed with Miss Charlene. They genuinely cared for my children, and they learned a lot of skills while going to school here. My eldest daughter did speech therapy here as well, and it was beneficial to her development."

More is building behind it. We're building partnerships with Samuel Merritt, CSU East Bay, and St. Mary's, which means students coming to learn alongside you and strong future teammates down the road. We're also standing up an intern and volunteer program, so there will be more hands to support you and our families in the months ahead.

Every one of these families, students, and volunteers is choosing SOI because of the work you do every day.

This week's reflection: What do you hope a new family, or a student learning alongside you, notices first about how we do things here?

Updates & Announcements

Safety: Check the Playground Before You Leave Everyone

Balloon pieces were found on the playground. Small items are a serious choking hazard for our little ones, who explore the world with their mouths. Before you head out, please do a quick sweep for anything small.

Halloween Parade, Friday 10/30: The parade begins at 9:15 AM in the main SOI parking lot. Staff will park at the Donlon Staging Area that morning and can move cars back to the employee lot after 10:30 AM.
