Welcoming Michelle Weng to the SOI Board of Directors

We are thrilled to welcome Michelle Weng as the newest member of the School of Imagination’s Board of Directors! Michelle’s dedication to early intervention and inclusive education, combined with her professional experience as a school psychologist and her deep connection to SOI as a former parent, makes her an incredible addition to our leadership team.

A Personal Connection to SOI’s Mission

Michelle’s journey with SOI began when her son participated in our Little Sunshines class while receiving speech therapy. During that year, she saw firsthand how early intervention can transform a child’s development. Today, her son is thriving in school, and she credits SOI for playing a pivotal role in his success.

"As a parent who had a child receive services at SOI, I have experienced what the school has to offer and what a difference it is to be able to receive early intervention. My son demonstrated so much growth in the year he was in the Little Sunshines class in addition to receiving speech therapy at SOI. He is thriving in school, and I know that SOI played a huge role in his success."

Her passion for supporting children and families extends beyond her personal experience. With over 15 years of experience in education and psychology, Michelle has worked closely with students, parents, and educators to provide counseling, behavioral interventions, and evaluations that support children’s growth and success.

A Commitment to Community & Leadership

Michelle’s leadership extends beyond the classroom. She served as co-president of the Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) Board at Valley Christian Elementary School, where she led major community events, organized fundraisers, and worked closely with families to create a welcoming and engaged school environment.

With her expertise in education, community-building, and nonprofit leadership, Michelle is eager to contribute to SOI’s mission and help more families experience the same level of support that made a difference in her own children’s lives.

Looking Ahead

We are incredibly grateful to have Michelle as part of the SOI family in this new capacity. Her dedication, personal experience, and professional expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve more children and families.
