New Year, New Playground

After 14 incredible years, our beloved playground was due for some much-needed upgrades! Our playground has been the heart of endless adventures, with children running, climbing, and exploring every single day. Our preschool students enjoy it at least twice daily, and nothing matches their excitement when the doors swing open for outdoor play.

Thanks to our generous donors and supporters, we were able to take a huge step forward in January. The incredible efforts of our community, including the remarkable $40,000 raised in one night at our May 2024 Benefit Gala, made it possible to kick off Phase 1 of our playground renovation. A special shoutout to our SOI Development Committee for their dedication in coordinating and planning these fundraising efforts!

With the expertise and hard work of WMA Landscaping Construction, we successfully replaced the entire playground turf and installed a brand-new play structure. Completing Phase 1 required seamless coordination, and WMA went above and beyond to minimize disruptions for our students while delivering exceptional results.

But we're not stopping here! There's still so much more to be done to create the most inclusive and enriching play environment for the children we serve now and in the future. We’re thrilled about what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more updates with you.
