Welcoming the Honorable Stephen M. Pulido (Ret.) to the SOI Board of Directors

We are thrilled to welcome the Honorable Judge Stephen M. Pulido (Ret.) as the newest member of the School of Imagination’s Board of Directors! Judge Pulido has been connected to SOI for nearly two decades, standing alongside our mission to bring out the extraordinary in every child. His dedication to education, justice, and community service makes him an invaluable partner as we continue to grow and expand our impact.

A Distinguished Career in Service

Judge Pulido dedicated 46 years to the legal profession, including 28 years as an attorney and 18 years as a Superior Court Judge in Alameda County. During his judicial career, he served as Presiding and Supervising Judge of the Family Division and as the Chief Supervising Judge of the Civil Division, while also chairing numerous committees, including Family Law, Civil, Jury, Outreach, Personnel, and Security.

Beyond the courtroom, Judge Pulido has shown equal dedication to education. He served on the Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees (2003–2007), including a term as Board President, where he championed student success and community engagement. His career reflects a steadfast belief in fairness, mentorship, and service to children and families.

Judge Pulido has been involved with SOI for almost 20 years, offering support, guidance, and encouragement as our programs have grown to serve thousands of children and families. His belief in early intervention and inclusive education aligns perfectly with our mission.
