The people who teach, care for, and support your child work as one team.
A message from Charlene Sigman, Co-Founder & Executive Director — on what we believe, how we work, and the people who lead it.
Three ideas guide everything we do.
Learning, communication, movement, and social growth all shape one another. We support them together, as the connected whole they are.
Educators, specialists, and families sharing one plan is what turns good individual care into real progress. No single discipline does it alone.
We start with what makes each child them — building on their individual strengths and meeting them right where they are, so every child is genuinely ready for the next step in their educational journey.
How our integrated model works.
Because of what we believe, this is how care happens here — for every child, and in both directions.
Your child's specialists — speech, occupational therapy, behavior support — design strategies built around who your child is and what they need.
The teachers who are with your child all day carry those strategies into everyday moments — snack, circle time, play — so support is consistent, not confined to a session.
Specialists return on a regular cadence to coach, check in, and adjust the plan as your child grows. The loop keeps everyone aligned.
No single discipline solves a child's development alone.
Our specialists screen early and initiate support when and how it's needed — matched to each child, not to a fixed track. Every child receiving services has that support woven into their day and coordinated across their whole team, so nothing happens in isolation.
Excellence has names and faces.
Our model is led by people whose whole focus is the quality of what your child experiences — on the educational side and the clinical side alike.
Christina holds a master's in early childhood education and brings more than a decade of experience across preschool, public school, and nonprofit settings. Since 2024 she has built our curriculum and developed our educators through classroom observation and coaching — bringing dedicated focus to the quality of instruction, the consistency of routines, and the richness of how children learn through play.
Behind your child's day is a team of clinicians — in speech, occupational therapy, behavior support, and early development — who collaborate closely with one another and with your child's educators. Their coordination is guided by experienced pediatric expertise, so the care around your child is consistent, informed, and connected.
A leading early childhood educator, preschool director, and speech-language pathologist, Charlene founded this place and has spent twenty-five years shaping what integrated early childhood care can be. She sets the direction for School of Imagination and Happy Talkers and holds the whole of it — educational and clinical — as one coordinated vision.
