Community Standards Policy
At School of Imagination, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and healing environment for every child, family, and staff member.
Mistreatment and discrimination have no place within our organization — whether it occurs in person, over the phone, in written form, or in any other setting.
This commitment extends to all families, visitors, children, staff, and providers present within our community.
We believe every child deserves to grow in an environment free from fear, bias, and harm. Upholding this standard is a shared responsibility between our team and every family we serve.
The following behaviors are not tolerated at School of Imagination, toward any member of our community:
- Racism, microaggressions, or acts of bigotry directed at staff, providers, or families
- Discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic
- Verbal abuse — including name-calling, cursing, belittling, or engaging in rants
- Emotional abuse — including actions that make staff feel unsafe or uncomfortable, or persistent unwanted attention
- Sexual abuse — including unwanted physical contact or use of inappropriate language
- Threats or acts of aggression — including slamming doors, blocking access, yelling, or bullying behavior
- Physical abuse — including hitting, kicking, or spitting
When incidents occur, a member of our leadership team will assess the situation and determine an appropriate response. Consequences may include:
- Reporting the behavior to other staff, managers, or security
- Removal of the individual from the premises
- Restricting access for visitors who mistreat our staff or providers
- Temporarily suspending services for parents who engage in mistreatment
- Involving law enforcement in severe cases
As members of our community, we kindly ask that you:
- Report any instances of mistreatment or discrimination you witness or experience — promptly, to any staff member
- Contribute to an environment of mutual respect in all interactions
- Refrain from mistreating or discriminating against staff, providers, children, or other families
We know that the vast majority of our families share these values deeply. This policy exists to protect the community you are part of.
