Rest and recharge.
This week invites you to invest in yourself. Sustaining our work means taking care of the people who do it.
Sharpen the saw.
"As people come and go, it's the impact we're having today that transcends—so that SOI can continue and sustain and make an impact for the long term."
That's Christina's reflection on why the Clinical Leadership Council matters. And this week, we're turning that same lens on ourselves.
Stephen Covey's 7th Habit reminds us that sustaining our effectiveness means investing in ourselves, not just our work. This month asked a lot of all of you. Before we sprint into June, take time to sharpen the saw. It looks different for everyone—time in nature, planning, rest, connection with your team, physical movement. It's not a break from the work. It's what makes the work sustainable.
What's one thing you do on the weekends to recharge?
The Council meets. Here's what's happening.
Five clinical leaders — speech, OT, ABA, and infant development — mapped how their programs connect, named what gets in the way, and committed to solving it together. Their first three topics:
- How to collaborate across disciplines in a structured way
- How to define who leads and who supports when clinical work overlaps
- How to make sure the whole team knows when a child's care changes
This is how integrated care gets built. Not all at once. One decision at a time, with the people who know the work best.
