Positive self-esteem in the preschool classroom

This week's prompt is about the foundation we build every day:

"Kids with positive self-esteem feel confident and capable. They value themselves and their abilities. They're proud of the things they can do and want to try their best. When kids are confident and secure about who they are, they're more likely to have a growth mindset — they can motivate themselves to take on new challenges, cope with and learn from mistakes, and stand up for themselves and ask for help when they need it."

Action required this week

Things that need your attention this week.

1
Preschool coverage — we need everyone leaning in
We are at a critical staffing level right now. We are actively working to fill open roles, and until we do, we are not able to approve additional time-off requests. We know that's not easy to hear, and we don't take it lightly. Every decision we're making right now is about keeping our classrooms safe, consistent, and focused on the children. Thank you for your flexibility and your commitment to the kids.
2
Classroom 7 — Friendship Club space
The Friendship Club takes place in Classroom 7 Monday–Thursday from 3–5 pm. Equipment, toys, games, and furniture are not to be removed from the classroom. Please do not add extra items to Classroom 7. Thank you for keeping it beautiful for our friends.
