Sumit Sen, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Sumit Sen, a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, has been taking care of children in the autism spectrum for over 20 years while applying cutting-edge evidence-based research. He integrates his prior experiences of many years in brain research with that of having treated stroke patients to develop a deep understanding of the condition. He has received training at the University of Washington Autism Center, and has organized autism workshops at the American Academy of Pediatrics. He recently traveled to Bosnia as keynote speaker to help build that country’s first Autism Institute. He is currently working at Stanford Children’s Health and is a member of the Developmental Pediatrics Subcommittee of the CA chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His training in pediatric intensive care at UCLA gives him additional perspective on dealing with developmental challenges in children with complex medical problems.
