Don Routh, CPA (Board Member)

Don was raised in Oakland and now lives in San Ramon, CA with his wife, Jan. He is retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a Partner in the Management Consulting Services Group. His various leadership roles included running the Financial Services Consulting group for the Western US and the Banking Consulting group for North America. His career also included stops at Wells Fargo Bank where he was CFO of the Retail Banking group and IBM where he was a Vice President and Global Relationship Partner. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and is a CPA. Don and Jan have four grown children – Chris, Jason, Josh and Jenna and two grandchildren.

Don adopted Josh when he was just two days old not knowing that Josh had been born with Cerebral Palsy. As the parent of a child with special needs, Don quickly became an advocate for people with disabilities. Over the past 30+ years Don has served on the Board of several nonprofit agencies including his time as President of the Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy of the Golden Gate. In 1981 he helped write a California Senate Bill to insure early intervention services for children with disabilities.

Since his retirement in 2006 Don has dedicated his time to raising money for, and providing services to, the various organizations supported by Del Corazon. In addition to helping people with disabilities and orphans, Don is committed to raising awareness about the need for mobility in the world. To this end, Del Corazon is working with more than 50 public schools to raise money for wheelchairs while raising awareness and sensitizing the students about the issues and challenges faced by people with all types of disabilities.
